CiM Boost Gauge fitted to 07 GTI MKV
There are many threads on vwvortex and golfmkv covering the topic of boost gauges for the GTI / GLI and they all speak to the same point; there are many different different gauge setups available, all seem to work well so main deciding factor is preference of the mounting location.
Installation Notes
The installation of vacuum tap and the gauge sender unit is pretty straight forward as is running the wire into the cabin. I did find taking apart the vent plastics to be a bit of a challenge and not documented well in the instructions.
Fishing the wires was made easy with a straightened coat hanger with the wire harness taped to the end, but I found the wires to be a bit on the short side- this is one negative I found on an overall good kit.
Detail on the right shows the gauge face as well as the 270 degree sweep on startup and a quick shot pulling away from a light.
